BronxCare is the largest Safety Net Hospital System and largest Mental Health Provider serving the South and Central Bronx. Its Department of Psychiatry is widely recognized as a leader in the mental health field.
This Certificate of Need Application, which was submitted to the New York State Department of Health, requests approval for 20 additional and critically needed Adult Psychiatric Beds into available space on BronxCare’s Fulton Campus (see link below). The proposed additional beds are consistent with the Governor’s and Office of Mental Health Commissioner’s priority regarding the need to expand psychiatric bed capacity at community-based hospitals across New York State.
