BronxCare Health System now has an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Instructor in our Emergency Department. BronxCare’s ER is the 15th largest in the nation with 127,000 visits annually. The Clinical Nurse Instructor will serve as a clinical expert in the nursing process and ensure that new employees receive a comprehensive orientation, including both didactic instruction and skills labs. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with nurse managers to ensure that Patient Care Services (Nursing) employees complete their annual competencies, staying informed on the latest evidence-based practices, and delivering didactic presentations.

Qualified candidates must have a BSN, New York State Registered Nursing license, certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC-Emergency Services after one year, and certification in area of clinical specialty. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Medical Intensive Care Unit

This 26-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit specializes in the comprehensive care of critically ill adult patients, including those with pulmonary, renal, neuromuscular, and orthopaedic conditions, as well as post-surgical patients requiring advanced medical, nursing, respiratory, cardiac and critical care.

Cardiac Care Intensive Care Unit

This Cardiac Care Intensive Care Unit provides care for myocardial infarction, cardiac dysrhythmias, and patients experiencing acute phases of chronic illnesses related to cardiovascular diseases. Post-surgical patients requiring advanced medical, nursing, or respiratory acute care are also cared for on this unit.

Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Units

Excellent Opportunities are now available on our Medical/Surgical Units. These units care for a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Full-time 12-hour positions are available on the day and night shifts.

Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP)

The Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) provides 24-hour psychiatric care to patients with acute psychiatric presentation requiring evaluation and disposition. Patients range in age from 5 years and up.

Each of these positions require a New York State Registered Nursing License with BSN/BLS preferred. The Psychiatric ER position requires a minimum of one-year psychiatric nursing experience. Experienced ICU RNs and new graduates are encouraged to apply for these positions.
