BronxCare Health System and the Mount Sinai Health System have established a clinical collaboration to enhance patient care by establishing new programs and services across multiple disciplines, including cardiology, oncology, surgery, orthopaedics, and pediatrics, among other key areas.
Mount Sinai’s highly specialized tertiary services will now be available to staff and patients at BronxCare Health System. A medical school affiliation with Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine is an important part of the collaborative effort. Clinical information system linkages related to quality, continuity, and evaluation of care are also moving forward, as is a robust population health enterprise, including shared resources, consistent with New York State’s DSRIP initiative.
The Mount Sinai Health System includes seven world-class hospitals and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, which is ranked among the top 20 medical schools, both in National Institutes of Health funding and by U.S News & World Report.
