Dr. Cheema is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in Columbus, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from The Ohio State University and then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry. There, she was actively involved in the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA), the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA), and Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH). Dr. Cheema completed her clinical training at the Illinois Eye Institute, North Coast Eye Care, Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and the Cornea and Contact Lens Institute of Minnesota. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Cheema enjoys attending music festivals, traveling, photography, and exploring museums.
Dr. McArthur was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Health Science Studies, with honors and a Biology minor from Baylor University. Dr. McArthur then received her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee. During her time at SCO, Dr. McArthur served as President of the student chapter of the American Academy of Optometry, Vice President of the National Optometric Student Association, and Student Ambassador, and was a member of multiple academic and honor organizations. She plans to continue fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare during her time in New York. Dr. McArthur completed her clinical training at The Eye Center at SCO, the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Center, and North Range Eye Care. She enjoys traveling, attending local city events, and reading for leisure.
Dr. Schaffer grew up in Benton, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Eastern Nazarene College and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with a concentration in pediatrics from the New England College of Optometry (NECO). During her time at NECO, Dr. Schaffer was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, served on the executive board of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and provided clinical and didactic peer tutoring. She received awards for outstanding academic achievement and excellence in pediatric optometry, as well as recognition for providing care to underserved communities. Dr. Schaffer completed her clinical training at NECO Center for Eye Care, Boston University Eye Associates, the Jamaica Plain Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Charles River Community Health Center. In her free time, Dr. Schaffer enjoys traveling, watching sports, and exploring new restaurants.
