Neurologist

X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, Cath Lab, & Interventional Radiology Technologists, and Physician Assistants

Responsibilities include performing high-quality radiographic imaging on patients (inpatient, outpatient, and ER) and utilizing radiation safety techniques such as shielding, collimation, and ALARA principles. Transporting patients to and from imaging rooms; providing patient comfort measures; following infection control standards; and informing appropriate personnel when equipment repair is needed are also an important part of these positions.

** Radiologic X-Ray Technologists **

  • Full-time (35 hours weekly) Monday to Friday for day shifts (8 am to 4 pm, 10 am to 6 pm), as well as for evening shifts (12 pm to 8 pm; 4 pm to 12 am).
  • Per diem positions are also available.
  • Qualified candidates must have a two-year degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and a current New York State license as an X-ray Technologist (ARRT).
  • Hourly wages for the X-Ray Technologist positions are $42.92 for 0–2 years of experience, $44.50 for 2–5 years of experience, and $46.70 for 5–10 years of experience.

** Registered Ultrasound Technologists **

  • Part-time Tuesday to Friday for the evening shift (3 pm to 11 pm).
  • Per diem positions are also available.
  • Qualified candidates must have a degree from an accredited Sonography program and ARDMS registration.
  • Weekly/hourly wages for the Ultrasound Technologist positions are $1,505/$43 for 0–2 years of experience, $1,541.68/$44.04 for 2–5 years of experience, and $1,621.96/$46.34 for 5–10 years of experience.

Oral Surgeon, Full-Time Faculty

BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital and health system, now has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Faculty Attending position in its Department of Dentistry (Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery). Responsibilities include supervising Oral Surgery Residents as well as rotating General Practice and Pediatric Dental Residents in the oral surgery practice, operating room, and emergency room. Additional responsibilities include performing on-call duties and collaborating with BronxCare’s Department of Family Medicine in the management of oral and maxillofacial surgery inpatients. 

BronxCare’s Department of Dentistry provides full-scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including implant reconstruction, treatment of dental trauma and pathology, TM Joint reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, and dentoalveolar surgery. 

Qualified candidates must have a DDS or DMD degree, DEA certification, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, NYSED certificate for General Anesthesia, completion of a CODA-approved residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and board certification/board eligibility.

Inpatient Psychiatry Unit Chief- Excellent Opportunity

BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital and health system, now has an excellent opportunity for an Academic Inpatient Psychiatry Unit Chief in its Department of Psychiatry. Responsibilities include managing the daily operations of an Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, leading interdisciplinary teams, participating in behavioral and medical codes, evaluating academic activities for residents and medical students, and providing direct patient care. Social Workers

BronxCare Health System now has important opportunities at the outpatient and inpatient levels in its Department of Social Work. At BronxCare, Social Workers lead, learn, and educate, as well as collaborate across the full spectrum of key areas, providing discharge planning, transition of care, and education.

  • Outpatient Social Workers (two positions available)
    Under the direction of clinical supervisors, Outpatient Social Workers are responsible for determining and assisting in the resolution of patient/family issues and working with an interdisciplinary team in providing patient care, preparing statistical reports, and serving as a liaison within the department, hospital, and with community agencies. Activities and related efforts will also be directed to assuring the smooth functioning of the social work program.

    Master’s degree from an accredited Graduate School of Social Work and a minimum of two years’ post-graduate experience in providing social work services within a hospital, medical, or mental health setting are essential. LCSW/LMSW required. Bilingual abilities are also preferred.
  • Inpatient Level (three positions available)
    Inpatient Social Workers will utilize their experience in providing psychosocial services as well as coordinate discharge planning and a continuum of care for patients and families. Inpatient Social Worker will also assist in enhancing the capabilities for assigned patients in coping with illness, crisis situations, and daily functioning.

    Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and New York State License as an LMSW are required. Limited permit is needed for newly graduated social workers (must provide exam date prior to start of employment). At least one year of prior Social Services employment preferred.
