Hip & Knee Replacement Surgery

Dr. Ronald Huang, Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon and Clinical Fellowship Director, Joint Replacement and Adult Reconstruction, as well as Dr. Jonathan Robinson, Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon/Joint Reconstruction Specialist, lead the clinical efforts in this area. Each patient is thoroughly evaluated in the pre-operative phase and closely monitored during their surgery and post-operative follow-up. As innovators in the design and techniques of Joint Replacement Surgery, the team provides patients with the full range of available options. Both Dr. Huang and Dr. Robinson also utilize Mako, an Advanced Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery tool for Joint Replacement. “This tool makes surgery more consistent and lets us address the more complex cases we see in our practices,” stated Dr. Huang. “Implant precision and boney cuts are where this Robot truly excels,” stated Dr. Robinson.

The Joint Replacement team has also added a comprehensive Episode of Care program, which is an important part of an innovative national program and $500,000 Federal Grant leading to enhanced recovery. Two Physician Assistants—John Bonsu, Director, Outpatient Joint Replacement, and Gabriella Iodice, Director, Inpatient Clinical Services—are coordinating this program.
