Each resident is entitled to 20 days of vacation per year, as well as 12 sick days and 2 personal days per academic year.
In accordance with the ACGME, all residents are entitled to 6 weeks of paid leave of absence for approved medical, parental, and caregiver for qualifying reasons.
Transportation will be reimbursed for offsite rotations and satellite sites.
Conferences will be paid for up to $1,400 if presenting.
Library Services are available within the department at BronxCare Library 24/7 and through the Icahn
School of Medicine at Mount Sinai available with remote access: https://eresources.library.mssm.edu/login/
Residents also have access to the AAO resident hub, an online educational platform that is an essential
resource for effective online learning.
Board Review stipend of $400 will be paid by the program to graduating residents.
The Professional Educational Benefit is $890 per benefit plan year which allows reimbursement for
books, study materials, and medical equipment.
Each Chief Resident will receive a differential of $3,500 per year which is paid on a prorated basis every month.
